Maxem contributes to Royal Schiphol Group's sustainability ambition
Royal Schiphol Group has the ambition to realize emission-free airports by 2030. Together with partner FIMIH, Maxem will contribute to the realization of this sustainability ambition. The electrification of all vehicles from ground handling to hotel shuttles and everything in between, as well as the charging of vehicles from visitors and suppliers are part of this ambition. To make this possible, Royal Schiphol Group is installing up to 10,000 new charge points for charging electric vehicles. Maxem supplies the platform that monitors and controls the existing and new charging infrastructure and also makes it possible to smartly optimize the required charging capacity.
Smart dynamic energy management
Electric passenger cars now largely use the existing charge points at Royal Schiphol Group airports. Electric trucks, buses and ground handling vehicles will be added in the future. This requires around 10,000 new charge points, which will significantly increase the charging capacity in the coming years. Monitoring and controlling the existing charging infrastructure as well as the new charge points to be installed is made possible by the white-label EV Charging (CPO) and Energy Management (EMS) Saas platform Maxem Energy Cloud, which is deployed by partner FIMIH. In addition, Maxem's cloud platform makes it possible to intelligently control the required charging capacity based on occupation, priority, energy market or (transport) planning and can even be linked to energy generated by solar panels at the airports. This avoids overloading the energy grid and users charge on sustainably generated energy when the sun is out.
