What to do if you have a complaint
We do everything we can to ensure that you are satisfied with our products and services. However, despite our best efforts, things can sometimes go wrong. If you are not satisfied with the way we handle your personal data, there are two ways you can submit a complaint.
Submit a Complaint to Maxem
We ask that you first submit your complaint directly to us. Not only would we like the opportunity to resolve your concern, but the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) also requires you to contact us before they will consider your complaint.
We recommend submitting your complaint in writing. You can do this easily by completing the complaint form available on our website. Alternatively, you can send us an email or a letter. Our contact details can be found at the bottom of every page on our website.
Submit a Complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint, you may also submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). This can be done by completing the complaint form available on their website.
Please note that the Dutch Data Protection Authority requires that you first submit your complaint to us before they will process it.
For more information about submitting a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, please click here. If you are ready to proceed, you can find their complaint form here.
Please be aware that if the Dutch Data Protection Authority upholds your complaint, it may impose a fine on us, but it cannot award you financial compensation. If you wish to seek compensation for any damages, you will need to pursue your claim through the courts.
